Tuberculosis (TB) is a highly infectious bacterial disease that primarily affects the lungs (pulmonary TB) but can also target other parts of the body such as the spine, brain, or kidneys (extrapulmonary TB). Symptoms often include a persistent cough lasting more than three weeks, unexplained weight loss, night sweats, and chronic fever. Early detection and rigorous treatment are absolutely critical. We utilize highly sensitive diagnostic tools, including digital chest X-rays, precise sputum smear microscopy, and advanced GeneXpert testing to rapidly confirm the presence of the TB bacteria and test for drug resistance. Our treatment center strictly follows the directly observed treatment, short-course (DOTS) strategy, providing a carefully managed regimen of powerful antibiotics. We focus on patient education and continuous monitoring to ensure complete adherence to the prolonged treatment cycle, which is essential for curing the disease and preventing drug-resistant TB strains.
